WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD
The gears are turning in poker rooms around the world with some big festivals ongoing and about to take off in the next few days.
One of the big events in the calendar is the WSOP International Circuit, which will be happening at the Grand Casino Gramprin in Liechtenstein. There will be 12 WSOP ring events among other side events. The WSOP ring winners also grab a package to be used in either WSOP Europe this summer or in WSOP Paradise at the end of the year. Currently happening is the European Poker Tour in Paris, France from February 18 to March 1. Run by PokerStars, the EPT Paris 2026 is taking place at the Le Palais de Congres with the EPT Main Event kicking off today (February 23) and will play until the festival closes on March 11. The EUR 5,300 buy-in will have two starting flights, and a Day 2 up to Day 5. It'll be a marathon for sure.
PokerStars will also be handling another event in Okada Manila with the Manila Megastack 24 taking place from February 25 to March 9. This festival boasts a PHP 20 million guarantee (~USD 347,000) for the Main Event alone, which comes at a friendly buy-in price of PHP45,000 (~USD 800). Full schedule of events available HERE.
In other parts of Asia, the Players Series Championship III will be happening at the CTP Club Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. Running from February 26 to March 10, the TWD 33,000 (~USD 1,100) Main Event comes with a TWD 20 million (~USD 635,940) guarantee. The series also favors a lot of events for the high rollers and also for the women. There are daily high roller and women's events in this series, making it one of the more dynamic poker festivals that cater to every bankroll and player. Their full schedule is available HERE.
